This is defintely not a Bottom 10 finish but this is DPC and I'm determined to continue to enter images that meet the challenge and fight for that coveted Brown Ribbon! I've come close the last few challenges. I knew this wouldn't score well as in 6+ because there is nothing WOW about it. As you both have said, it's a nice photo but most people won't know this is Hak "The Hammer" Goldberg from EPSN. He's a Horse Race Analyst. He puts up his picks before each race. God help you if you made the same picks! At least on TV he's not that good. EPSN used to run a segment called The Longshot before each race sponsored by Budweiser. That was another, geez, I hope I didn't pick that one. It never came in, hence the longshot, but the horses they picked weren't all that bad. Finally though they had two of them come in in a span of a few months and it was no longer taboo.

Bottom line, I'm going to need to be even more pedestrian to get that Ribbon without entering something just completely horrible. Thanks for the kind words!

Huh? I don't see any possible way this deserves a bottom 10 finish. You're using nice bokah for the background, fairly even lighting on the face, no hot spots on the glasses, nit-picks (and they are that) - light spot on his left forehead, lower portion of tie is a bit washed out color-wise. I may have tried a crop through his right shoulder (red background side), so he anchors the picture with his head / body, and is looking into negative space (which, if there is room in your original a bit more would be better). I have no clue who the man is, but it looks like he is a reporter for CNN, or is giving a statement to CNN. I even like his slightly bemused expression that you caught.

Nice shot of Hank. However, I don't think many will make the connection.
