I really loved this shot and came back to see how it did in the challenge (did not vote). Knew that it wouldn't score well with most voters, but sad to see it so low (now I regret not voting)! But, I'm very glad to see that some others felt as I did. It truly does capture a feeling, a place, a moment in time. It reminds me of an impressionist painting--they don't insult you with the details, they just let your mind wonder and wander. Love the lack (or apparent lack) of post-processing. Not sure why, but this struck a chord with me and that is what art is really about. Nice work. |

This image makes me happy to look at it, the score makes me despair. I mean, I don't exactly expect an image like this to do well on DPC, but I didn't expect to see it in the bottom 25. |
