Thanks for all the comments. The oil theme was simply that the fish were oily... it wasn't staged with extra oil, but I did make an effort to make sure the fish did look sufficiently slick for the image using a digital filter. |

I liked your different approach. I guess the "literal masses" didn't get it. :~( And they do NOT look pasted on.

the fish almost look pasted into the image. a stronger shadow might have helped? otherwise great image. |

Great fish shot...but where is the oil? I know you can get fish oil from a fish, but this does not show any oil. |
