 Simply stated, the back of a nickel representing the music group Nickelback. :)

The idea came to me after pondering many other groups as options for the challenge. They all intrigued me, but I thought I'd have a decent chance with this combination and group name.

I placed the nickel on an old weather torn metal and wooden stand on a mostly overcast late afternoon to try and reduce glare. I wanted to add some interesting and contrasting texture around the nickel to make it stand out yet not be overpowered by the background. Rather than shoot straight down onto the nickel which would have enabled better focus on the wording I choose to risk that for artistic reasons and shot at an angle to incorporate depth to the picture and bring out the lines and grain in the wood.

wow, even more interesting. This is now the second time in this challenge I have seen this Canadian band represented with an American coin....
