HI from the C Club
you asked for an in depth comment on your shot for this challenge.
Interesting shot.
You have the right idea going on here. Your shot is fairly static though. Having another interesting thing going on would have helped, i.e something dripping off the end of the beaters.
Your focal point is at the top of the mixer, which is slightly dirty and being in focus does not help. try focusing on the beaters.
Your colour is a little grey in this shot. an adjustment in exposure, brightness and contrast in photoshop would have eliminated this.
a crop off the bottom would have filled the frame with the beaters and having the other beater in may have been more been a better POV.
I think this is an interesting angle and you should re shoot this, just to play with it. Well done |

I think that this is a mixer not a blender......very creative with your angle....IMO I would have not included the bottom of the stand |

I like the angle and the tightness of this composition. I like the solid black backdrop. Lighting metal like this is hard and this is an area for improvement. |

I like the diagonal composition, not sure cropping out the left side help though |

Your focus seems a bit soft towards the front of the beaters, other than that, nice shot! Way to fill the frame! |

Viewed in safari this image has a huge amount of green and blotchy noise in it.
I just grabbed it as sometimes it's fine within say PS but in this case it still has the noise.
I simply went into Image/Adjustment/Exporsure and lowered the offset a small amount and it all goes away.
Nice composition though |

Should have cleaned the grease off the top first :) |

should clean it, it's soft at the tip and grayish could use a little contrast, 3 |
