This is Jack's Camp. It's 55 kms west of Cameron Corner on the Merty Merty road in outback Australia.

The story is:

A tour operator took a bus load of tourists into the outback. The bus broke down, they evacuated the tourists and left the bus there. It's now home to snakes and other creatures.

It's also used for target practice (shooting) and writing practice (graffiti). Yes, I did leave my mark on the back of the bus.

I arrived back a few weeks ago from the actual area they shot that movie at. It was filmed in an area called 'The Breakaways' in outback South Australia, near Coober Pedy.

Beauty in the desolation. A veritable oasis from the blazing sun.

It's an interesting blip of color in an otherwise pretty barren landscape. Buses were sometimes used for camps here in the Fl Everglades, but the surroundings did not look anything like this. I can see why small planes are popular in that part of the country.

Pleased to know they didn't just leave the tourists there! And glad to see you'll still be posting to the side challenge - stuff like this is fine!

I love the four images - they tell a story and are executed well!
