 Just to the left of my favorite tree that got me my lone ribbon. I've exhausted the possibilities in that tree, unless I get a really unique sunrise one day. This is from about the same spot, but looking about 45 degrees to the left. I get some great sunrises over this field.

The 720 pixel limitation kills a bit of detail, as I lost some vertical dimension by using a panoramic crop. However, cropping it so it was not panoramic just did not work for the composition. I liked the wide, sweeping clouds and anything else changed it too much.

Pre-challenge notes:
Always hoping for a 6+ on a freestudy, but I'll be pleased with a high 5.

Anticipated critiques:
-Ground is cropped too close to the bottom of the frame
-Wide crop loses valuable detail.

Post-challenge notes:
Came in a little short of what I'd hoped for, but still a darn good showing for a freestudy. As I was looking over the results, I kept seeing photos I had rated very highly that came in under mine. So, I have nothing to gripe about!

I gave it a six. Really nice. I think the challenge size restrictions here hurt panoramas, but what do you do?

Gorgeous sky and colors. I thought I recognized that tree. LOL. Nice job, I know it fell a little short of what you were hoping for, but it did well for you. Congrats.
