you asked for a more in depth comment on your shot in this challenge.
First impressions that you have a good leading line, your placement of the flower is strong and solid. You background is a nice buttery smooth feel to it. Then we get to the flower heads. I am not really sure how you got this look to it. It seems overally sharp, but not in focus or sharp at all. You have halo's going around the heads. I can not tell in your notes how you did this, maybe some smoothing? I am not sure but it doesn't work for this shot.
Your DOF and POV are strong, so try taking it again with these strong points and see what happens

| I cannot tell if this is intended to be an abstract image or not. None of the flowers are in focus, and perhaps smoothing was applied. If it was intended to be abstract I think that effect should have been more extreme. |
