Well, my initial idea was to have the cover off and have it spray all over everything. Wasn't about to do this inside, so I went outside, put it on a tv tray on the driveway, and hung the black fabric behind. That's why the black background--would look odd having trees as a backdrop :D
Well, the stupid thing wouldn't spray up in the air!! I changed the ingredients, added chunkier things, changed the consistency, all it would do is gloop over the side. No big explosion, nothing interesting!
This is what I ended up with  . Lutchenko said it was a pity that I couldn't move it off center more, and then my husband and son had the idea of cropping in significantly tighter. All together it made a much stronger image. Thanks guys!
I like the shadow if the spill that the direct sun made on the base of the blender.
Oh, and thanks to my son, for plugging and unplugging the extension cord in the garage so we didn't have a hand in the picture.

By the way, the ingredients were real. I stupidly wasted perfectly good strawberries and bananas in the making of this photo! (at least I didn't add the orange juice, just ice & water). But my son, daughter and did make up real strawberry banana smoothies afterward!

The nice thing about doing it on the driveway was, I could just hose everything down!!

| that sure does look like strawberry......I bet you had a mess to clean up.....sticky......imo.....maybe a reflector in the bottom right corner would have made the shadows a little less |

| Wow, this is so interesting to look at. The composition is spot on, with the mess flowing into the left hand side. The lighting is very nice as well. I do think the mess is however messy, and not as photogenic as other subjects. |
