Taken on Princes Street in Edinburgh. I like the advert behind the girls shoulder, it's for Irn Bru. If you haven't tasted Irn Bru, try it! It's brilliant stuff, cures hangovers!!

No cropping done at all, changed to greyscale, shadow/highlight, USM and a quick going over with Neat Image.

I wanted to do the same thing for Waiting...only in a mall. Picture of an old guy sleeping in a lazy boy chair in the mall foyer with right shutter speed to blur those walking by..."Waiting while the wife shops."
You've done a wonderful job here. The motion blur of the others only hightens the sense of those being still and ...waiting. One of my highest scores.

Very weird- in a good way I think. The giant head with the glasses is the key to this shot for me. Without him I think this would just be another street scene.

What is the movement from?

I like the idea of the blurred walker vs the standing people, but it would have worked better if the blur werent covering those waiting so much.

Thi sis a very amusing capture. The old man in the advertisement appears to be looking over the girl's head. I like the motion blur behind her. Great job.

Hurry up and wait?

Hmmm... I think that while the motion blur is very interesting, it's really dynamic and it takes away from the stillness one associates with waiting.

Good stuff! You were so right in focusing on the woman while the world passes by around her. It makes the waiting very palpable. Ten.
