you asked for an indepth comment of you shot for this challenge
first off, nice shot, you have got this macro down pat, well done. As for the abstract part, not so much. IF you had zoomed in on say the screw and the teeth of it, then it would be more abstract but still holding definition.
your focal point is good and your DOF and POV is excellent. In post processing though, play around with the blacks, selective colours and shadow and highlights, then convert it to black and white as this is coming across as fairly flat.

definitely have the macro part of this...not sure about the abstract of it...but I really like this shot alot.. |
