Hi from the Critique Club,
You asked for your shot to have an in depth comment from a member of the Critique Club.
I don't know a lot but I can give you what I think. It is not macro enough, and I think in your comments you even know that. Now if there was something huge like a tiny section of the bark (walnut trees are smooth bark though) then that would have given the viewer an idea as to how small these things actually are.
My eye is searching for one focal point, and i am getting three of them, one south, one west and one north. There are also some sun bubbles that direct your eye straight to them.
You are sharp in your 3 areas though which is good, the background is a little busy but there is an attempt at bokeh in there (I think). Some contrast to give it some depth would have been helpful as it would have popped the web out
I gave you a six on this shot when i voted, as I did like it

Beautyful picture, BUT, an abstract image is not representing or imitating external reality or the objects of nature |

you have the abstract part with all the converging lines, but I'm not sure about the macro...it seems like you could get much closer??? |
