Well...... It looks kinda like a horn, but I don't think that the screw is a period item LOL. If you get a 3 inch screw, you can have a longhorn.

I saw two of them just like it on the "Antiques Road Show" and one was valued at $25k! ...but the other one had a screw like this one and it was worth $2.37. :( j/k! I love the find and the shot. |

And they used a drywall screw to boot! Everyone knows you need a wood screw to fix horns!
