I had to go hunting to find this one - I thought it was in the planes, trains, autos challenge. =] I was thinking about shots that I'd seen in the past and this one came to mind. I really liked the lighting and composition - something about it really seemed to "pop" for me.

Is this a control tower? Looks vintage in any case.

Nice composition. I really like the pallette of colors that appear here; they go well together and give the image a nice nostaligic feeling.

I wonder if you're wishing you could use this in the "transportation" challenge! Really unique and interesting. I like the softness of the images; it gives an antique or artistic feel to it.

As an aviation buff, this picture scores brownie points with me ;)
I like the detail on the tower's gauges and binoculars where even the scraches are visible. Color tone and composition is good also. However, the DOF doe not appear as deep as it should be with the aircraft appearing blurry and lacking detail. But nice picture nonetheless.

Although hard to see details due to sheer distance, I'm assuming that the planes are in focus and giving you the benefit of the doubt. The foreground details have a feel about them that I just can't figure out. They look like highly detailed CGI output but I know they are not but they just have that feel about them. Very good interpretation of the challenge. 7

Looks like a screenshot from a flight simulator game :)

Absolutely love the composition here, in particular. The binocs really make it. Nice shot.
