Good colour, and I like how the background fades into different shades.

Very pretty!

Beautiful focus and lighting. I think it would have been nicer to have a more natural background though for instance more of the cactus, out of focus. The dark gray helps the colors stand out, but it doesn't add any interest to the picture.

By far the best flower shot in the challenge..love the neutral bg...only beef I have is the glare on the petals...9 zadore

What a great idea to put a gray background behind this lovely colour.

nice background and framing of the subject. Only wish the tip were as tack sharp as the rest.

I swear I voted on this earlier. Maybe they rejected my vote because it was too high at 6. Let me rethink it then. Yes, it really is early. Mine won't be open for at least two more weeks or so. My comment the first time about the color was "The color is perfect, with the exception of the dark background at the top. " As I look at it again I like the background fine. In fact I can't find anything wrong this time. Guess I'll have to go with a 10 this time and put it in my favorites. PTL

I'd have not sharpened it as much, especially the upper petals against the background.

Very nice, the best of the flower shots I've seen so far. Mine is just getting ready to bloom. I like the gradient of the background and the colors are fantastic. Great job. DPz

well taken macro, though the background lets this down - too grey/dark
