 The family has been hanging out in the backyard much more often now that we have (fake) grass and the weather is getting a little cooler. There has been quite a bit of activity around the butterfly bushes, lately. I hadn't seen any dragonflies before today, though! I took a ton of shots and I like this one the best. The DOF is super shallow, but I like it that way. I really like the emphasis on the wing structure. I usually like pretty high contrast images, but for some reason this one just called out for a nice pastel, low contrast treatment. So, there ya go.

Great shot and really sharp focus, it just needs a bit more contrast. That would take this from good to stunning.

I like the pastel colors. Cropping the empty space from the left I think would make the image feel less static.
