HI from the Critique Club
You asked for your shot in this challenge to have a comment from one of the members in the Critique Club.
This is a fun shot and original, I have heard about setting light to pasta as a way to light candles and bar b q's. I had just forgotten about it till I say this shot. I am going to go and try it!!!
You didn't do too badly with this shot for scores, it is very original and I don't believe I have seen it on here before. There are a couple of things that could be worked on though. You have a great big sun bubble in the middle of your pasta, this could be caused by something on your lens , have a quick look before shooting to see if your lens in clean, your focus is a little soft, did you use a tripod or was this handheld. Tripods are a must in low level lighting as there is no camera shake.
Your focus needs to be tack sharp in this sort of picture as it would get the flame, sticks of spag and the smoke sharp.
The border is really strong in this too, maybe tone it down a bit,
Try it again!!!

This is different and creative. Never would have thought to set fire to pasta. |

This is what happens when a DPC photographer runs plum out of ideas; we set shit on fire! I don't know if your intent was to make people laugh, but I think this is a really funny image for some reason. |
