 This is a tribute to Judi's image , which is great! I hope she doesn't get offended, because this may look a little weird.
I tried to recreate the scene with noodles, couldn't do it so well in my opinion, but i like this shot! Hope it does well!
Rotate, crop, saturation, selective shadow/highlights, levels, dogde&burn for the shadows too, add a border, color balance and saved it. I had some problems with the light, i couldn't take the shot whithout shadows. Wish i knew how Judi did it.

Hey there...I just got put onto this image. I am totally flattered. You did a great job with this.

As for shadows...I stood on my roof and had my camera tied to the end of a broom which I held out over the scene below.

The suns was my light source..lol!

Love the rough look of the boxes ... adds character, the slight mis-matching of the pasta is unique, I possibly would have left out the pasta on the table surface, distracts from the rest. Good luck.
