I liked this photo in the challenge you did a wonderful job capturing a nice deep dof here. What I really think that kept you from that 6.0 or better is the buildings are just a little to dark, the tallest one is lost with no detail showing on it cause it is so dark while other buildings around it are more visable.

Overall you did do a good job meeting the challenge, keep it up.

Very interesting shot with the background cloaked in this very blue stormy mood and yet the lighting on the foreground person and grass is very bright and summery. Excellent mix of foreground/background elements, wonderful lighting and color, interesting mood, nice sharp image. Nicely captured!

I think, and it's only opinion of course, that those clouds need to be darkened considerably to have the impact your title suggest: this way, it looks just like a bit of cloud cover on a sometimes sunny day. beyond that, this a good solid composition, nicely organised to balance the girl and the buildings. I might wish that there were more drama in it, more impact if you were to threaten the high scores. Given this scene, what would one do to give it that impact? First off, a lot of burning on those clouds, to add drama to them (see Heida's work with the burn tool for an idea), and I'm not sure that a touch of colour temperature correction wouldn't hurt - whole thing comes across as a little blue. 6

I like the coloring in this piece. It almost makes me feel as though I am right there, soaking up the sun while the clouds loom over the city. Nice.
