Loads of colour curves (individual channels) in Nikon NX2
Smigin of unsharpen mask
Loaded into paintshop pro (yay at last I dropped Microsoft Photomanager) converted to B&W in a manner of speaking by splitting out into RGB channels and keeping only the blue.

Your picture is not bad or even midcore,
I like it, it meets the challenge rules well, has an artistic B&W look,
I'd say it is a bet underscored as well.
