| That sky really hurts this image for me. Except for the positioning of the horizon, this a solid composition though, and the light and textures on the rails and ballast are well caught. Light on the treees and bushes is also good, which just makes the big white more of a pity. The fixes are quite easy - grad filters, or underexposing and bringing details back in post-pro, but for me it overwhelms this shot. 4 |

| A great way to demonstrate DoF. Nicely composed - but I wish you'd left out most (or all) of that terrible sky. Colors a bit saturated - which works very well. MAke it really zing with a train waaay at the other end. |

The strongly backlit trees on the upper right exhibit considerable chromatic abberration.
But this photo is well composed and does illustrate good DOF. |
