for the september macro side challenge

used 36mm kenko extension tube on 100mm lens .. not much cropping just changed the dimension from 6x4 to 5x4 and scaled up to fit ...

after photographing the spider

i turned around and noticed this orchid .. so thought i'd photograph something other than a bug .. was taking pics of the orchid and didnt even see this tiny little bug at first .. probably not much more than 1/16" long .. when i realised he was there i took a few shots of him .. so it seems i just cant take a flower by itself .. there has to be a bug .. !!
to give an idea of size ..

Lord of the rim. He is so tiny that the flower dwarfs him. The focus is incredible.

Imagine standing on a flower's petal and looking out of it. lol I want to be very tiny and experience that feeling. eheh

This also looks like a whales mouth opening up to feed on plankton, and a fly. Great image!

The edges look like they have ice on it.

That is really a beautiful shot. I just love orchids; you've inspired me to get my 100mm out and snap some shots of my new blooms.

This is soooo awesome. He reminds me of a cave explorer.

What a find! I love the colors and the fact that he seems to be standing guard on it!
