Lovely capture of the heron poised for the strike! The pattern made by the water gives a great texture to the background, but the color of the water is not so appealing (though it is perhaps natural). Nice composition! Luck.

Wow I really like this, seems like one of those right place and right time shots. I never get that lucky. Great shot, could be a winner.

Very nice composition. The colors on the heron are nice - colors on the water a bit muted. Not sure what to think about the patterns at the top of the image.

It seems too dark (try some other white balance setting), otherwise it's very nice.

You're probably going to get a bunch of comments about this not conveying the theme, but I think the frozen motion conveys waiting to touchdown (or takeoff?) either way, nice shot. I'd like to see it a bit brighter, but nice composition and timing.
