Great idea, but a closer crop would have been better, focusing attention on the kid. Right now there is a lot of unused space around him that don;t add anything to the pic.

Nice sense of waiting. The side lighting is interesting; it brings out the 3-dimensioal look of his face.

This has great potential. There are too many distractions in the background though. It's taking away from the central focus of the shot. Depending on your camera, try shooting in macro mode or using a very shallow DOF. that will blur out the background and allow us to focus on the face. I'd also get lower. Reposition your model against a less cluttered backdrop. If need be, you can use a sheet as your backdrop. He's got great expressive eyes. You want them to be the focus. I'd also consider a tighter crop. 5

clean out the elements in the backgound by closing in on your subject's amazingly intreging expression and you've it.
