I have a spider living on the side mirror of my truck. Every day I drive to work and the web from the mirror to the door gets messed up, and evernight, the spider rebuilds it. I took this picture one morning before it got destroyed, and it seemes like I took a million pictures, because of the awkward angle I had to hold the camera, I could never see the how the picture turned out until after I took it. I had a hard time getting a decent background, because it's not like I could just pick up and move the spider web somewhere else. It was also difficult to get the focus on the thin web, and not the background. But I had fun trying to get a good picture!

Great web, but something's missing....

Waiting on a spider too? Good shot, nice capture of the theme - however, the lack of a spider does detract a bit.

Would have been better with the spider in the shot...

Very graphic! Most folks take webs from directly in front - I like your angle with the closer strands in focus - and then falling off. Think you meant waiting FOR a fly - not waitin ON a fly. Exposure is right on - great colors.

The image of the web is well done, but it doesn't sell the idea of "waiting." (The image may have done better in the "deep depth of field" challenge.)

This is really an amazing shot. It looks like a gigantic web from the angle you chose.
