Thanks for the votes and comments. You wouldn't believe (or maybe you would) how many times I've totally missed the focus on an entire scene, from either nerves or time pressure. I haven't used auto focus in years. So, this was intentional obviously, but nonetheless I thought it illustrated how a possible 'mistake' could also be beautiful :)

The title is just an old phrase for absinthe. I was toying with references to the dominant colour is all, and 'The Green Fairy' seemed to fit perfectly. Nicely picked up by krnodil!

This takes some time to absorb. (Absorb absynthe? I understand absynthe is absorbing, and that the glow and pulse made by your missed focus is part of the experience. Just was reading about it, before I saw this. Did not know la fee verte was synonymous).

I thought this was a Ribbon, a photo that IMO met the challenge spot on with no room for debate. Great Job!

Wow, this is very nice, best so far that I've seen (of course I've only voted on 13 of the images!). The earth tones and "dreaminess" are wonderful. I have no idea what the title means, but I really like the photo. 10

I like the moody feel - great shapes - and the nice bright colors really work, but I'll bet these contrasts would look equally well in b/w.
