 Too bad it's not advanced editing.. would have made us have a more natural skin tone and would have gotten rid of the splotches on the deck (I fell in the water right before the shot!)

Taken with an IR-converted D50.

Post processing is pretty standard for an IR image (swap red & blue channels and fiddle around with the hue/saturation).

Thanks for the votes! This one goes down in history for a PB (and, not to gloat, but the highest rated photo on DPC taken with a Nikon D50).

I think splotches add character to the image, and are balanced with the cleanness of the rest of the image.

Initially I gave this an 8, but now, having a look back at all the images after my first pass, it is BY FAR the out-and-out best image in the challenge, and therefore, worthy of a bump to a 9. Colour, composition, detail... even the border... WONDERFUL. Blue Ribbon on the way without a doubt. Well done!

I'm not a big fan of centered objects but this one totally works. I think everything about the photo is perfect and can offer no suggestions of 'help'. I can offer my best wishes and a 10.

Wow..beautifull. Only thing bothering me a bit is the uncomfortable body pose of the man. Have them closer and more relaxed. Still very nice

Impressive image with the land/seascape, yet meets the challenge with the couple at the end of the dock. Nice use of the dock to lead the viewer to the couple.

One of the most beatuful photos I have seen on DPC, definetely my favourite on this contest, hope you score high, I only think that this photo will look better without the frame anyway a perfect 10
