This needed to have all elements in focus for it to be deep DOF. Were you going for something else?

shallow DOF rather than Deep had BG been focused as well i would have bumped at least 2 ....... i gave you a 3

The horizon is slightly tilted, and this is a good example of shallow DOF. Unfortunately, this is a deep DOF challenge and everything should be in focus.

Nice scene, but this is shallow DOF, I'm afraid. Seems to be a common misunderstanding for this challenge. Ah, well.

A nice photo but does not demonstrate 'Deep DOF' in my opinion.

Extremely distracting BG compared to the size of the main subject which is small.

Deep DOF means most of the image is in focus, this is shallow DOF so doesn't fit the theme.
