I had mixed feelings on scoring this. Very little detail is available and that usually indicates a strong use of noise reduction (most likely not in this case). I can tell you were using an extremely wide open aperture because just a smidge on the top rim is in focus. However, I DO like the effect this creates in the lower areas of the photo with the OOF rings of the spring. A very "artsy" type photo that is likely to have a polarizing vote result (either like it alot, or not like it much). I think I ended up in the "liking" it camp. :-) Good luck! |

*not voting as I'm in this challenge-just commenting since I've seen requests for comments in the challenge thread*
Cool idea, and the shapes created in the out of focus areas is very compelling. I just wish the "in focus" area was really in nice sharp focus. As it is my eye really has no where to land. |

A spring, a salt shaker, a tower of bokeh'd light - matters not. It glows, it spins (ever so slowly), it captivates. Best of show. |

Neat semi-abstract. It does look a bit like a Dalek, I suppose that accounts for the robot related title you chose. |
