Promised to myself that I won't shoot photos of Gipsy people anymore, but did it. After all, this photo has no particular connection with the Gipsy culture. Thanks to Mephisto for reflecting the sunlight ;-)

Cool shot on many levels.

"Innocence" might have been a stretch, but I think all kids retain a sense of wonder -- rich and poor alike. Someday, perhaps, I'll be able to go there and see it all for myself.

Ah, yours is better! (though I like your outtake with his left eye open and staring at you even better)
Again sorry for the loss of your english paper, but this scenery was just too much, man! ;-)

I should have known (but honest, I didn't!). Can't believe this didn't do better. Oh wait -- it's not a landscape or an owl or Iceland. Yes I can.

Regarding the more DOF comment, I respectfully disagree. There's enough there to convey the message; anything more would have overpowered the young subject in all his wonder and innocence.

Great job!

My single pick of the challenge. A ten for you -- something I rarely hand out.

I think you'd be better off with a larger DOF. The photo would be more moving if we saw the child in his environment. Still gets a 7, though.
