I love damn near anything you shoot, so it's no surprise to me that I love this one too. It's strange that you got so few comments. I think this is beautiful. The tones and DOF are perfect. |

I like this shot, and voted it a 7 during voting. I think its strengths are that it is different, that she is out of focus, and the intense concentration she has on the candle. Its too bad it didnt receive any comments during voting... it certainly deserved it, and looking back, I should have left more comments myself. :D |

(FWIW, I did not vote on any entries in this challenge)
Nice concept and composition. The in-focus candle and the OOF person adds interest and a certain tension -- I would be curious how this would look had the person also been in focus. When first looking at this I could not understand how the title and the image relate to each other. Even after reading your explanation I am still somewhat confused because I have not read the book.
