Out and about in San Francisco first weekend of the month. One of my earliest FS entries ever, and much different from my usual last hour chimping for a decent entry. Did OK with a bridge grab shot last month, lets see how I can do this month with a little more editing time.

Tonemapped from a single RAW image, then some Adamus sharpening and Noise Ninja in PSE.

More I look at this the more I like it. This subject always seems to do well around here. Would love to see a score above 6.93 so I can claim the top spot for the LX-3. 6.5ish is probably a more realistic goal, and 6.2x is probably where it will end up.

Hazards of the early entry. I've got a month to wait before I find out how it does.

I like this very much - the view, and all that intelligently extracted detail and colour rendered by you and the LX3. Particularly like the point of view. All in all it reminds me strongly of an old postcard view, photographer unacknowledged, possibly hand tinted, very Japanese printlike.

Nice shot Dennis! Jeb may be right--the GG has been featured several times recently. Beautiful backdrop of clouds and color. The adamus sharpening may have made your water look a little noisy??

Truly lovely. Only reason I can think this didn't do better would be because of the flurry of Golden Gate pics recently. LOVE the clouds!

The pink clouds really make the perfect backdrop don't they? Well done.

The image seems really noisy and I am not keen on the uneven frame.

Stunning. It's never captured the same and seems to always be changing. Wonderful POV.

When I was in the Navy in the early 70's, we went to SF several times and I have been under that bridge more times than I can count, but I've never been across it. I have been across the Bay bridge with stops at TI though.

(No vote, just a comment) Very nice image, but I am not a fan of the asymetric frame.
