First night shooting ever, found this little dighy hiding underneath a resteraunt...took about 9 different exposures. this was the only one that people didnt walk behind me and shake the dock just enough to cause a blur. got some other awesome shots of the stacks and the rock here at morro bay.

Meets Challenge: 2 of 3. The extra light reflections are a bit too bright. Maybe a tighter crop on the boat (which I assume is your main subject) would fix this.
Technical: 1 of 3. The transitions from black to grey are pretty harsh (especially in the top third of the photo). The details in the water aren't sharp enough to make out, but aren't blurry enough to ignore. Since it's water, consider a longer exposure to further blur the reflection so I can focus more on the boat. Also, as above, crop in on the boat, that's the important part.
Emotion: 2 of 3. I actually built a boat very similar to that out of plywood, 2x4s and fiberglass cloth. I was so worried the first time I pushed it off the trailer into the water. Luckily, though, it floated just fine, much like this little boat. I bet the owner enjoys it as much as I did mine.
