 So I was shooting candids at a cheerleading competition and this coach walked by me.

Her: You takin' pictures?

Me: Yes ma'am. Trying to.

And she strikes this pose and gives me this big grin.

I've seen her before at games and stuff, and I suspect she is tough as a pine know (as my grandmother would say) but also the life of a party. She had a aire of confidence and "ownership" that you really don't see a lot.

Converted to bw, adjusted levels a bit, and used noise reduction.

Not sure about the low-key part. That has never been one of my stronger "suites" but this shot is the only one i've gotten this week that is even remotely dark enough.

I had suspected this was a bvy entry. I can often pick his style of street photography out of a crowd, but you fooled me with this one.

Has some elements of low key, though it appears to be a broad daylight shot that was darkened a bit. However, I'm not totally sure of what low key is anymore. I thought I had it defined before this challenge.

You should have just cropped the older lady, the girl just distracts from a wonderful shot
