 Saw these lovely flowers in the local council car park, so as good tax paying citizen I took one home. I lighted from the side with a desk lam (one day I will up grade my lighting) with a black back drop and started shooting and pruning to get something presentable. Edited in Lightroom and Silver Effect pro mainly adjusted contrast and sharpened the picture. Then resized in Photoshop.

I think cropping the flower only would have been better. The right side is not helping.

a square crop of teh light thing would have improved. now the grey to the right disturbs.
