a poor snapshot

For this macro challenge I'd have cropped all the way into her face, with a vertical orientation.

Why crop the top of her head off? What is that behind her head? It looks like someone's arm and hand. If you are going to leave that much shoulder you need the top of the head. Otherwise real good portrait type photo. Solid 6 as is. PTL

Hi Elizabeth. Nice snap shot.

I think if Elizabeth's face completely filled the frame I would feel like it met the challenge better. Even though you are close up to her, this isn't exactly my definition of a macro. The person's shoulder is as much a part of the picture as her face. She is, however, a pretty girl with beautiful brown eyes. Any photo of her would be enjoyable.

Very random...

too close! for good people close-ups you want to use the telephoto end, not the wideangle side of things - less feature distortion

I'm not sure I see where you were going with this one. Unfortunately it looks like a quickly taken snapshot with no thought to composing it well. The arm is distracting, the model has a strange look on her face and the skintones seem very greyed out. :-( 2 kathleenm
