Challenge: Into or Out Of the Frame (Basic Editing)
Camera: Canon EOS-30D
Lens: Sigma 70-200 /2.8 APO EX HSM II
Location: Munising, Michigan
Date: Oct 9, 2009
Aperture: 3.5
ISO: 80
Shutter: 1/90
Galleries: Nature, Black and White
Date Uploaded: Oct 13, 2009

I took this photo while I was hiking in the Pictured Rocks area of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I originally took it because I liked the changing color of the red and green leaves. But as I was editing it in Lightroom I liked the black and white look. It almost has an infrared feel to it. I like how it looks like there is no end to the tree and that it keeps growing out the top of the frame.

the high key really works here, it accents the tree that jumps into the frame, I like it

I really like this photo I just think it is way to bright and it takes away from the quality

I really like this image, but have been staring at it & can't figure out anything that's moving into or out of the frame. Either I'm missing something, or I can't see any relation to the challenge.

I don't know what to do with this one... It's a wonderful shot. I really like it. But I just can't see it meeting the challenge. The subject is supposed to be moving in or out of the frame. Yes, the tree continues past the frame, but the tree isn't moving out of the frame (or into it). The tree is just sitting there. I'm sorry.

"Create an image where the subject(s) is/are moving into or out of the frame. The subject(s) need not be human but must be able to move on its/their own."

after thinking about it a bit, i'm guessing the tree tiself is "growing" out of the frame...did i miss the mark? 7

the high key processing is nice. i just don't see any of kind of "moving" in or out of the frame, the image looks very static.

What's moving here? The tree growing? Does not meet challenge.

I don't care for the processing here.
