 This might not be accepted well. I like the end result of this despite it evolving far from my original idea -not a bad photo considering I'm living in a hotel room and bought this stuff at a Kmart across the street.

Because of the audience of this site I am guessing a 5.4.

Shoot!! I just looked at the first DPC Cinema and noticed somebody else had a title 'Devil Plays Chess.' Oh well, too late now.


Post: Obviously, there was a lot of editing in this photo. I had a challenge doing the lighting on this and I had hoped i could make up for it with Photoshop. It turned out ok -single on-camera flash. The 'fire' is composed of glow necklaces taped to two drinking glasses which I am holding. Through Bright/Contrast and a mask, I did my best in taking out the glasses. Initially, I wanted to make it look like I was holding some kind of glowing power coil, but I had problems making the glow necklaces even. Using Hue/Sat I changed the color so it was fire.

If i had access to my studio this might have came out better. But as is, my hotel room and KMart gave me a semi-satisfying result. Thanks for all your comments.

great idea.. scene and title would be perfect for a movie poster.. Wish this was a little sharper and less processed.

Clearly inspired by . Has a real movie feel about its composition; the title is also very credible.

All round - very good indeed; If I could, I'd place a bet on seeing this on the front page.
