 Wine glass cliche' shot. Backlit from below background. Glasses sitting on a piece of clear glass with a white foamboard underneath. Dark blue foamboard background about 18 inches behind glasses. Both sides and top enclosed with black foamboard. Wish I could have figured out how to eliminate the light glow right above the liquid level. Maybe a different camera angle would have done it, but ran out of time to experiment. Hope the voters don't focus on that flaw :)

Perfect exposure, and I love the colors.
Since you have the upright glass partialy filled, you should adjust your composition a bit. If you were to pull both glasses toward the camera the blue table would make it look like the upside down glass was filled to the same amount.

Commonly photographed object on DPC. But excellent execution, great control over light and flawles under Basic processing boundries. 9

It's a really clever shot that is really, really well lit. But to get top marks it would need to give me a sense of what and where that lighting was in order to fulfill the challenge.
