I setup the tripod so I could spin the camera. Then had a fire behind black matboard cut in a half circle, rotated the camera to get the burning ring, then put the fire out, next I put my face in the frame and painted it with light which created the illusion of being behind the fire. Fun image to take and I look forward to seeing some other creations in this challenge.

I had an idea using the same general technique, but to many other things got in the way for me to take the time to execute it. I'm jealous that you did it. You were definitely SCREWED in scoring. Don't worry, I'm sure in death your creativity will be recognized. Cheers, brian

Splendid creativity. Too bad people had a narrow sense of what was possible and what the photos should 'look like'.

I think you outsmarted yourself into a low score, I was pretty sure there was something creative going on to meet the challenge that was not showing in the final product.

Interesting! Couldn't for the life of me figure out the movement in this case, thanks for the explanation. Did you have a hard time getting your face in the right spot?

I agree! We have had lots of rock song challenges, and it is time for some country music. With the number of country songs that mention Fort Worth and Dallas, it would be a freestudy for me!

Not totally sure if this displays camera movement or not. Perhaps pretty subtle motion around the flames?

Very clever! I hope you have a picture showing what he was holding and how he was holding it. This almost looks like a cut out.
