someone always feels left in a threesome... :P
Powershots rule, mine has died but it was a fun streetshooter for years. |

I think what it is is the wonderful tension between connect and disconnect on numerous levels. (I should be beyond surprise at the voting; never beyond profound sadness). |

OK no idea how this can be a 5.3. I love it and gave it a high score. It's an excellent image, well done. |

This is very stimulating. It grabs hold of the viewer and inserts itself into his or her consciousness with more than a thimbleful of meaning. As soon as I finish this cigarette I give you the Posthumous Red Ribbon.

OK, I'm going through the Free Study submissions, purposefully finding those images I think are shot with a less conventional eye - this is one of those images! Thanks for offering something that isn't just DPC friendly eye-candy (though of course there's nothing wrong with eye-candy). I'll be picking one of these images for my Mu (most underrated) award:
Positives: Certainly worthy of capturing - great street photo! The characters in the image are priceless - their expressions and gaze place you firmly in this image, even though you aren't in it.
Critical stuff: There is something about the framing that doesn't quite work for me and although I can appreciate that this may have been a rapidly caught image, the fragment of upper window and the slightly too much negative space on the right of the image, throws this out of whack a little.
Overall: In my opinion, although this image is not short of interest, it lacks a little finesse to be truly effective. |

There's a place like this close by here in Manhattan, I always thought it was strange seeing the place in the middle of a shopping district; but nice filling of the frame here, almost looks like a setup shot:) |

I just had to laugh at this. The picture of the deer (and description) in addition to the couple's expressions are just too damn funny. The guy on the right cracks me up, too. I'm giving this a 10 and adding it to my favorites. |

You're getting a look like that guy's about to say, "'Scuse me, honey" and come over and smash your camera! Too funny, in lots of ways ;-) |
