A little bit of a stretch, as the human who's interacting is not in the frame. Hopefully I'll just get dinged and not DQed for that. :)
I was sick as a dog, head-cold from hell. I'd just gotten a camera back from Life Pixel, converted to infrared. I was dying to go out and play with it. So I wander off to a local park. So walking through this park in the middle of the city, who steps out of the woods and sees me? This guy.
In visible light, he blended in -- all the foliage around him was the same shade he was. Nature's camouflage does not seem to work so well in infrared.
I shot a ton of frames and quietly tiptoed away.
Post: swapped the red/blue channels, then tweaks to saturation, contrast, curves, etc., until I was as happy as could be within basic rules.

I elected to use a rating table to decide on what value to assign during voting.
Here̢۪s the table:
1 No Animal/People Interaction
2 Slightly Appealing, but no Animal/People Interaction
3 Moderately Appealing, but on Animal/People Interaction
4 Greatly Appealing, but no Animal/People interaction
5 Not Appealing, but possessing Animal/People Interaction
6 Slightly Appealing and possessing Animal/People Interaction
7 Moderately Appealing and possessing Animal/People Interaction
8 Greatly Appealing and possessing Animal People Interaction
9 Better than #8, and caused an audible sigh
10 Better than #9, and would likely declare it a favorite |

A very interesting take on the challenge. I'm sure everyone will bomb you with "dnmc"'s, but I like this. It's as if I myself, as the viewer, am the person doing the interacting with the animal. A very unique perspective, one that makes me think of the photograph in an entirely new way... :)I also am attracted by the bizarre colors and ghostly light - they seem to add to the whole irony. |

Definitely get a sense of interaction from the eye contact. Bit of a dreamy feel to this. |

Where's the human? But great shot of the buck. |

the uv filter makes this really interesting, and its a great capture, but i wish there was more of a human element in it. for me i feel as though it borders DNMC. |
