It's troubling to me that this scored so low. But not surprising. It's composed so effectively, and the voters missed that, I think. The pole and straight lines anchor the shot and provide some relief from the dizzying (but beautiful) mix of grass and branches and foliage. Abstract but not quite. The only sad thing (as Steve mentioned) is that you didn't have the newly allowed 300KB to work with. All that fine detail suffers from the JPG compression. But I can see past that, and it's a great photograph. |

Woefully underappreciated - this really speaks to me. Quite a lovely place to just take in, I think. |

There's a lot of pixellation here that is obscuring the fine details of the scene. |

I think you did fine with shooting for the power lines, though I think a macro of those wildflowers may have scored you better. |
