 This was my favorite shot of ones I took 47 steps from the bottom of the front door stairs of my apartment building.

Post:

Camera raw adjustments in PSElements 6.0.
3 crops.
Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation.
Adjust sharpness.
Spot healed some white squiggly lines on the lever left.
New layer. Adjust color curves, increase contrast default, normal blend mode, 51% opacity.
Merge down.
Resize.
USM.

Earthtones with a touch of red, gold & green - this is so well defined that you can almost hear the crackle of the dried up leaves underfoot. Each is unique and beautiful seperately yet each blends together to make a balanced cohesive whole of darks & lights, shapes & textures. The gathering of Autumn is very well done against the patch of smooth definition on the lower left.
