Electricity Pylon nearby.
The first shots I took were in brilliant sunshine. I found that the symmetry got lost with the shadows changing the structure of the metal rods.
I went back on an overcast day which resulted in this photo which I am much happier about.
Straighten, Crop, I'm feeling lucky in Picasa. Resize during export to jpeg.

This looks like it has a very shallow DoF, so most of it is fuzzy. If you increase your f Stop and focus 1/3 to 2/3s of the way up the pylon you will have more of it sharp.

Comes off a bit flat looking, I'm afraid. Perhaps a touch of some adjustments such as levels and curves could help give it a little more pop. Perhaps the key to an electrical tower shot may be the need to have an interesting sky backing it up.

The composition is GREAT, and definitely met the challenge! but the light is poor, and the picture seem a little soft.

maybe not original, but always pleasant... i find this shot perfectly on theme, but it seems to be a bit soft, with usm maybe would be better.
