I was looking for an old fashioned train and wanted to give it a nostolgic look in an unusual way. I am happy with the result.

Critique Club

It's a very interesting photo and before getting this to critique I had seen your post in the forum of both this and the full color version. I'm guessing you used Photoshop. I'm not sure if photoshop offers the sepia toning that PSP does, but that would have given you that nostolgic look without the pink sky. Which really the pink sky is your only downfall to this photo. The sky just grabs your attention and takes away from the caboose. Personally, I would have either used sepia toning or went with the natural colors. The sky just takes away from the rest of the photo.

Overall your focus is good as is the composition, and it does fit the challenge well. Keep up the good work and just watch out for distracting elements that take away from your subject.

Nicely colored.

I'd actually prefer to see the true colors here. The saturated sky draws a lot of emphasis here, while the strongest element of the shot is the caboose.

Would have opened the lens a bit more, not cutting off the caboose. Not sure I like that sky too much either.

I just love the dreamy affect of the IR on this shot! I'm sure some might not like it, but it really adds something here!

Mmm arty.

IMO the sky is too overworked and draws attention away from the subject of the image.

I am at a loss with the color tinal values here.

The colors are way too processed here. Getting closer to the train and capturing the perspective from there would have looked better.

The red sky is a little unsettling.

Really neat shot, the sky might be over saturated though. That'd be my only complaint. Great job otherwise...
