polaroid sx-70 with "fade to black" film

this film is supposed to go entirely black after about 12 hours, and sometime before then you have to perform some surgery on the print, separating the front portion from the back, to stop development. The trick is figuring out when to do it.

After you separate the image, you let it dry - then you can do a number of things with it.

This image is the "transparency" side, the non-chemical side, which I washed, dried, and then placed on a lightbox and photographed. The scratches are from my not-gentle-enough washing - I'll have to figure out a better method for future.
