I think I've used this same effect before, or one very similar. I'll be curious to read how you did it. Nice. |

Nice effect. I kinda wish there was a little more happening on the left side but not a biggie. |

Heh, I wondered if folk were going to think it was overlayed. Glad to see it validated before the end of voting. Great experiment and I hope you do share the details on this one. |

Oh yes! What an emotion laden photo ... it reminds me of the way I felt approaching bedtime as a child ... the death of sleep, the hope for morning, the companionship of my bear |

OK, I'm going through the Free Study submissions, purposefully finding those images I think are shot with a less conventional eye - this is one of those images! Thanks for offering something that isn't just DPC friendly eye-candy (though of course there's nothing wrong with eye-candy). I'll be picking one of these images for the Mu (most underrated) award:
Positives: Shot through some form of fabric I presume; it works just like an overlay - I really like it. The success of the image lies in its ability to conceal and reveal to just the right amount. Lighting and colour are sublime.
Critical stuff: Nothing at all.
Overall: Excellent work. |

doing camera motion? I like what it did to the picture...enough that I can still see what you subject is |

The textures you have achieved in this shot makes it feel a little diturbing, like something from the paranormal. I think that's what appeals to me here. : ) Nice work! : ) |

Bedtime is scary! The wisps definitely look like something ghostly, but he doesn't look too spooked. Probably because teddy is there to protect him, eh? |
