 Just after sunrise the morning after we arrived in Sedona. Very very cold!!!

But the morning light can't be matched. The rocks almost glow in it.

Still hanging on to a low 7 at 135 votes. With all the great images in this challenge I don't think a low 7 will crack the top 3.

Getting a few comments about over saturation. These rocks appear to glow red at times, especially in the early dawn light. I processed on my laptop, but I think it is pretty accurate. I'll have to check on my home computer when we get back home.

OK, back home now. Looking on my good monitor, it is a bit on the reddish side, but I will say these rocks in the dawn light it's not too far off. It only appears that way for a few minutes in the direct sun. Even though there are clouds in the shot, the sun behind me was unobstructed.

Post challenge - I had a feeling that a low 7 wouldn't ribbon in this one. Some awesome images in this challenge. Thanks for the votes and comments.

I know what you mean about the rocks red glow. I was there a couple years ago and I remember the beautiful glow the rocks had in the morning and evening light. I love your HDR rendition of Bell Rock I believe.

I probably would have bumped this to a 10 if your red rocks were quite so "red"...just pushed a touch to much...(mind you I gave you a 9) your picture is stunning
