 When our friend, renowned equine photographer Susan Sexton, was losing her battle with leukemia, a bunch of us in the Vision 18 Collective began shooting these "wee horses" in various settings. We sent them to Susan in hopes of making her smile, and later her family when she was unable to view them.

So just for the heck of it several of us are entering wee horse shots in the FS in honor of Susan, who left the world on 11/11, at 11 o'clock. Obviously not in it for the scores!

The wee horses have sort of taken on a life of their own, with a Traveling Wee Horse fan page on Facebook with over 300 fans in less than a week as well as full-size images at our v18c online gallery. Here's the gallery!

Pleased to see you all honored your friend so. I'm sure she was delighted with all the Wee Horse adventures; just sorry that this month marks her passing. My sympathies to you and the rest of the gang.

Yay! Horsee #5. Probably my favorite one so far, although the Christmas lights one is pretty good too.

Made me grin. And your title says it perfectly ... parody. But even a parody needs a healthy kernel of some reality to parody ... and you nailed this one!

"Real isn't how you are made," said the Skin Horse. "It's a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real." I like this little Skin Horse affirming life at the end of the day.

haha, funny shot! Maybe next time you could ask the horse to put his (her?) head a little higher so it's not overlapping with the leg :)

Not a hugely enjoyable image for me i'm afraid. There's a certain novelty charm i guess but it's not something i would go for. Nice colours though. 4.
